Proactive Pet Parenting

Hello and welcome back to the Live Life Off Leash Blog! We hope everyone is having a great start to the year and are easing back into normalcy after a busy holiday season! At Live Life Off Leash our priority is healthy pets. We want all pets to be happy and healthy and live the longest and best lives possible. However, we have noticed over the years that often the way we go about helping our pets is reactive. They present with a problem, be it arthritis, obesity or allergies, and we treat the problem as best as we can moving forward. But this week we'd like to discuss some ways we can be Proactive Pet Parents, and stop some of these conditions before they start. Tip # 1: Diet Diet, simply what you feed your pet is probably the biggest way to prevent health issues of any kind down the road. A proper food with high quality ingredients and plenty of vitamins and minerals and supplements to support everything from joint health to luxurious coats is the best way to be proactive in your pets health. That's why for our pets we insist on the pawTree products. We trust the quality and know it's helping our pets live the best and longest lives they can. Tip #2: Exercize

Get outside! More and more pets in the U.S. are being diagnosed as obese. This is a huge epidemic and detrimental to your pet's health. Keeping your pet lean is one of the best ways to ensure their health for the duration of their life. Start young and keep it going. No expense required!

Tip #3: Keep it Clean

Keep your home pet friendly! Often injuries and accidents occur in the home. You don't want your dog accidentally getting into bathroom cleaner or antifreeze, or getting tangled in cords or eating a toxic plant. Keep these things in mind when you go around your home. Make sure things that are dangerous are out of reach.

We hope these proactive pet tips helped give you some ideas for being proactive in your pet's overall health and longevity. And as always feel free to contact us if you want to discuss your dog or cat's individual needs.
