It’s that time of year! The holidays are fast approaching! Food, friends, family, parties and cheer! It is a splendid time of year and many pet parents treat their fur kids to extra treats and toys to celebrate along with their human family members.
Gearing up for the holidays is a great time to look at what we’re feeding our pets, where we can make improvements and give them a chance at healthy treats and toys. The holidays also tend to be a time when people travel. So if you are planning to travel with your pet, now is the time to prepare!
Here are some great tips to prepare for the holidays!
Always have extra food and water when you travel and make sure you bring along any medicines or supplements.
Ask your vet for refills prior to the holidays as they may have holiday hours.
Make sure your pet has no way to get into foods that may be harmful to them.
Keep small toys and decorations out of their reach just as you would for small children as they can be choking hazards.
The holidays are a wonderful time and you want your pet to be included in the festivities. A little preparation goes a long way in making the holidays stress free and fun for everyone!
